Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes (Crispy Outside, Fluffy Inside)
Fast, crispy, golden roast potatoes in just 20 minutes, made with almost no oil and half the calories of deep frying. These air fryer potatoes taste amazing—crunchy exterior, soft centre, and full of flavour.

⭐ Ingredients
- 5–6 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Maris Piper recommended)
- Oil spray (or 1 tsp olive oil)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp potato seasoning mix (or any seasoning you like)
🔪 Instructions
1. Prep the Potatoes
- Wash potatoes and cut (unpeeled) into 2-inch chunks.
- Wash again or soak in cold water 10–20 minutes to remove starch and help crisping.
- Drain and dry thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
No moisture should remain.
2. Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat to 200°C / 400°F.
- You may use up to 240°C / 465°F if your air fryer allows—higher heat = extra crispy.
3. Season the Potatoes
- Spray potatoes lightly with oil spray. Shake.
- Spray again for even coating.
- Add salt + your favourite seasoning mix. Toss to coat.
4. Cook
- Place potatoes in the air fryer basket (do not overcrowd).
- Select Air Fry and cook for 10 minutes.
- Open basket → shake well → spray again.
- Cook for another 8–10 minutes until crispy, golden, and soft inside.
💡 Recipe Tips & Notes
- Do not overload the basket; crowded potatoes won’t crisp.
- Best potatoes:
- US: Yukon Gold
- UK: Maris Piper
- Avoid red potatoes—they don’t crisp well.
- Smaller pieces = crispier results.
- Soaking removes surface starch → prevents sticking + increases crunch.
- Make sure potatoes are 100% dry before oiling.
- Air fryers work best with oil spray for even coating and better crisping.
🌶️ Seasoning Options
