- A slice of bread topped with an egg cooked on it.
Egg in a Hole
- A slice of bread with a hole cut out, where the egg cooks inside the opening.
If you’re making egg in a hole in the air fryer, place parchment paper underneath so the egg doesn’t drip.

✔ 2 slices of bread
✔ 2 eggs
✔ 2 tsp butter
✔ Salt & pepper to taste
✔ Seasoning of your choice (Italian seasoning, chili flakes, etc.)
How to Make Air Fryer Egg Toast
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Using the bottom of a mug or glass, gently press the center of each bread slice to make a shallow pocket. (Don’t press through — you don’t want leaks!)
- Butter both sides of each bread slice.
- Crack one egg into each pocket.
- Season with salt, pepper, and your chosen spices.
- Place slices directly in the air fryer basket/tray and cook 5–7 minutes, depending on your yolk preference.

⭐ 5–6 minutes = Runny yolk
⭐ Add 2 extra minutes = Firmer yolk
Cooking time may vary based on air fryer size and model. Mine is a Cuisinart Air Fryer Oven, and 5 minutes gives the perfect runny center.How Many Toasts at Once?

I usually make 4 at a time in my Cuisinart oven — same temperature, same time.
